The DD-WRT GUI Server and Client modes' defaults should suffice for most users. Using the Web Interface, go to the "Services" tab and then the "VPN" tab (for older versions of dd-wrt go to the "Administration" tab and then the "Services" sub-tab). Enable OpenVPN Daemon or OpenVPN Client. If further options do not appear, click Apply Settings. Provided that the GUI implementation of PPTP doesnt redirect your gateway through the tunnel, and PPTP in your version of DD-WRT functions. To create and download the autologin profile for your DD-WRT router, visit the User Permissions area, create an appropriate username for the DD-WRT OpenVPN client, and then check the Allow Auto-login checkbox. Click the Update Running Server button to make sure the changes take effect.
